Members of the coaches association vote for players in rank order. The player that receives the most points will be named Player of the Year. The Rookie of the Year is the rookie who earns the most points in the Player of Year vote.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Greg Geering for player of the year. He has finished top 10 in 9 out of 11 tournaments, plus 12th place at Hoosier and 24th at the Collegiate Shoot Out. He would definitely get my vote.

Coaches always look at many things. You have players on top 10 teams that often do not bowl all of the games. So, top finishes are not always the key factor in voting.

Also, coaches consider the size of the field and the strength of the field that the team/individual bowls against.

To all coachs:

If you could vote right now... who would you vote for POY/ROY??

now u dont have to respond if you dont feel comfortable and want to keep your votes secret... but if you would please it would be great..

Just trying to get a feel where the coachs association is feeling on this subject?

Tj winning the hoosier and having a great year I feel puts him as the front runner for player of the year. As for rookie of the year I think Charles had an amazing year for any player not just rookies he has showed up numerous times not just score wise but as a team player for Toledo all year long. Not taking anything away from frank but it would b a shame if Charles didn't win it

Coaches vote for players in rank order. We don't vote directly for POY or ROY. The individual who earns the most points will be named POY with the top 5 earning first team all-american honors. The highest points earned by a first-year player becomes ROY. The vote takes place soon after sectionals with awards given-out at the national championship banquet in April. The vote for coaches is done separately but during the same time period.

change my endorsement to Charles Easton after he was able to lead his team to nationals while Testa's team did not make it.

what is the minimum game requirement? 40 or 48???

Because if you just click the player thing, it goes to 40 but then if you click one on the left side (the avg diff and avg) it goes to 48.

That could change things a lot.
