Toby wins. Period!
Those Texans don't have a chance at catching him!

I think you are the first person to ever call my friendship with Toby a man crush. I always thought we had a rivalry, if anything. I just respect his game a ton. Most teams bowl anywhere from 8-13 tournaments and so in some cases the season would be more then half over. I think it is reasonable to make a ROY assumption. If I said Toby is POY and end of story you could argue that but not ROY. He is facing a small playing field. It also doesnt hurt to have DMac burning up the track for you \:\)

Mr. Cordrey,

the ignorance in the situation is you not understanding the situation. The problem with what you are saying is this...

yes everyone has a bad day.... now listen close!!!!

the problem is.... toby's bad day is still better than any rookies good day!! here lies the issue!! do you understand yet??? this is why we make the prediction and say he cannot lose it unless he gets hurt or deathly sick!!!

Point and case!!

have a nice day \:\)

I would have to agree with everyone and say that Toby is hands down going to win ROY honors.

I'm with everybody else here who thinks that Toby pretty much has this in the bag. Having been around for a few years now, there really hasn't been many times when something is as clear as this one is, even this early in the season. Certainly not last year, even the year before with OG and JR, or the year before that with Ronnie, Dan, Blachard, all coming in at once. With that said, there is no way, barring injury, that Toby doesn't win the award this season. He's just way too strong, and like was mentioned, a bad day for Toby is still better than most of us mere mortals.

Tony Sambueno, I think the bueno says it all and for those of you who don't know, bueno is spanish for good. Although he's not hispanic, he is just plain good. J.R. is definitely making his case for player of the year and I know after being out of the game for a year it feels great for him to be back in the game and still being near if not at the top.

Dean, awesome article, and I am pleased to see that the rivalry necklace I started got media coverage on bowl.com lol. Just so there is no confusion, no matter what happens, at the end of this year the necklace is still mine lol. Good luck to everyone for the rest of the season.
