I have 4 seniors who want to bowl in college. This is our 1st year as a team. How do I get in contact with most of the college teams/coaches/club presidents. I have contacted some schools and AD's are mostly clueless. Give me some help.

Most of the time you can go onto the schools website under athletics and they will have the coaches phone number and email address. ours for example is

http://athletics.mckendree.edu/index.asp?path=mbowl&tab=mens

head coach gary white. gwhite@mckendree.edu

Athletic directors won't have much of a clue because for the vast majority of schools, I'm sure the AD doesn't even know there is a bowling program. Most schools just do it as a club sport. If you look at standings from the previous years, like Jeff said, you will see what schools have programs, and from there it may be easier to find the club presidents etc.

I have gone to the website and looked up the top programs and those in Ohio. I have already emailed some schools and still have trouble getting names. That is why I started this forum. I was hoping some coaches, clubs and or club presidents would be looking and respond. Thanks for your responses and I'll keep trying.

This list should have good contact information, as it is updated on a yearly basis and goes straight to the coaches and club presidents.

You can learn more about the program at Webber International University at Webber International University Athletics.

Our program is an official varsity sport at WIU. This includes elite bowling training as well as fitness and strength training and access to an athletic trainer.

Mr. Smith,

The link above will search all of the current USBC sanctioned teams. With USBC Collegiate going to an electronic format this year, it is my understanding that a team must be sanctioned before they are displayed in this database search. Some programs may not have registered(sanctioned)their bowlers with USBC Collegiate due to tryouts just being completed. Over the next month, there should be new teams added daily as more and more programs begin their bowling schedule. The deadline for the sanctioning of bowlers is October 15th. Therefore, this list may be a bit more helpful towards the end of October. I hope this information helps.

Thanks for the info. I will keep checking the site. I have been there once and noticed that not all teams were listed. Thanks again.
