Thank you for your patience as the website transitions to the larger center pages. Steady progress is being made as additional pages are updated each day.

Over the summer, I hope to implement some exciting changes at this site.

NEW FEATURE - TIER I AVERAGES

One advantage to the new format is additional space to work with in the main content areas. The existing player profiles and top average lists used all of the old space to display the current information.

In the next few days, I will be adding at least one additional column and two new total lines to ALL player profiles (from 2000 to the present). The new column will indicate whether during the referenced season each event on the profile was Tier I or Tier II. The two new total lines at the bottom of each player profile will separate the totals for Tier I and Tier II events, while retaining an overall total line for all events.

Once the player profiles have been updated in this manner, I will be adding new "top average" lists for Tier I events only. There will still be the existing overall "top average" lists, as well as the new Tier I lists. When complete, these will be available (retroactively) for ALL seasons from 2000-2001 to the present.

POLL ARCHIVE - NTCA POLLS ADDED

The poll archives have been recently updated to include all National Tenpin Coaches Association NCAA women's team polls (from 2004-2005 to the present), as well as the BWAA and NCBCA team polls.

The poll archive is available from the "Polls" link on the left side of this page or on the top of the main site pages. It can be accessed at:

I have also created direct links that will always take you to the most recent polls. These links can be used on another website to make it so as each new poll is released, your visitors are always pointed to the most recent one without the need to change the link.

I will consider any such comments and/or suggestions in terms of whether they are 1) feasible (in terms of implementation and maintenance) and 2) beneficial to the users of this site. I thank you in advance for any ideas you might share.

PLAYER PROFILES NOW INCLUDE SPLITS FOR TIER 1 / TIER 2 EVENTS

I have now finished the first stage which is to add event tier information to all player profiles. You will now find the following enhancements to all player profiles from 2000-2001 through 2011-2012 season:

-- 1) A column "TR" which identifies the event Tier (1 or 2) for the referenced season.

-- 2) A line "SPLIT: Tier 1 Events" which totals the athlete statistics for Tier 1 events only.

-- 3) A line "SPLIT: Tier 2 Events" which totals the athlete statistics for Tier 2 events only.

-- 4) A line "TOTAL: All Events" which totals athlete statistics for both Tier 1 and Tier 2 events. This is the same as the prior "TOTAL" line.

-- 5) A reference line (commonly called "breadcrumbs") which allows quick access to the "teams" page, the "player lists by school" and "team average" for the selected school and season. This is on the left side of the line that includes the current date.

I will be changing the links on the left side of the player profiles once I have redesigned the the top average lists to show statistics for all events or only Tier 1 events.

As the player profile changes are new, please let me know if you experience any problems or error messages when accessing them.

SEPARATE TIER I ONLY PLAYER AVERAGE LISTS NOW AVAILABLE

I have now finished the second stage which is to add separate Tier I only player average lists. You will find the following enhancements to Top Player, Top Rookie, and All Player average lists from 2000-2001 through 2011-2012 season:

-- 1) Separate average lists for "All Events" and "Tier I Events" for both divisions (men and women) in three different classifications, "Top Players", Top Rookies" and "All Players".

NOTE: The "Top Players" and "Top Rookie" All Events lists require a minimum number of 56 (before 2004-2005 season) or 48 games (2004-2005 through the present). The "Top Players" and "Top Rookie" Tier I lists require a minimum number of 24 games in Tier I events. There is no minimum number of required games for the "All Players" All Events or Tier I lists.

-- 2) An updated "Players" archive page which provides link charts for all of the available average lists.

-- 3) A new column "10" which identifies the # of finishes by the athlete in top 10 (this was previously only available on a player profile).

-- 4) A new column "25" which identifies the # of finishes by the athlete in top 25 (this was previously only available on a player profile).

-- 5) A complete set of season specific navigation links on the left side of each average lists which allows quick access to the other available lists for the selected season.

As the average list changes are new, please let me know if you experience any problems or error messages when accessing them.

NEXT FEATURE UPDATE

I am presently updating the links on the left side of the player profiles to reflect the actual seasons the selected athlete competed. This will allow you to quickly click through any available player profiles for the selected athlete.
